breasts are different and the best augmentation is enhancing
one’s own natural breasts. If you are considering breast
augmentation, please read on as this information could be
very helpful to you!
The Shape, Feel and Size of Your New Fabulous Breasts
Saline implants are most commonly used to enlarge the breasts
while maintaining a natural feel and shape. This procedure
generally has no effect on the breast tissue and should not
interfere with breast feeding or lump detection. After having
children many women notice a reduction in breast tissue, Breast
Augmentation can enhance and “perk up” breasts
to look and feel great again. Many women are just born with
less breast tissue and feel “out of proportion”.
Breast Augmentation can make your clothes fit better; it can
allow you to fill out a bathing suit and can boost your self-confidence!
Choosing the implant size is an important part of your surgery.
Deciding on a conservative or generous implant is a very personal
decision and should be made jointly by the patient and her
physician. Dr Reichner likes to spend time with each patient
to really gage what they are looking for. His goal is to make
each woman feel more feminine and achieve a more balanced
figure.
At your consultation any questions or concerns about breast
augmentation will be answered. Our staff is dedicated to helping
you determine what you are specifically looking for. You will
meet with Dr Reichner to review your medical history, discuss
your goals, and evaluate your current breast size and shape.
Dr Reichner encourages your input and wants to make sure you
are confident and excited about your decision!
Information about the Surgery
The breast augmentation procedure usually takes between 90
minutes and 2 hours and is performed under general anesthesia.
There is a small incision, usually about an inch long, that
can either be made under your nipple or under your breast.
The implant is then inserted behind either the breast tissue
or the muscle.
It is normal to experience a little swelling and tightness
of the chest. This is temporary and will get better each day.
Most women can return to work approximately four days after
their surgery. We advise our patients to wear a surgical compression
garment for approximately six weeks after surgery. This will
help you heal properly and provide support for your new breasts.
Breast Augmentation is a wonderful procedure that should
be carefully considered. Because a lot depends on your individual
circumstances, we invite you to come in for a consultation.
