The Treatment
Juvéderm injections are a minimally invasive procedure. Since there are few requirements pre-injection, the procedure can be done on the same day as your consultation. However, if you have underlying health conditions, have recently been smoking or drinking, or are taking certain medications, Dr. Reichner should be notified during the consultation.
The duration of the procedure may vary, typically ranging from fifteen minutes to an hour, contingent upon the specific areas being targeted and the desired outcomes. The effects of a single Juvéderm injection can persist for six months to a year, after which subsequent filler treatments may be necessary.

What is the aftercare?
There is no lengthy recovery period involved with Juvéderm treatments. Every session is quick, and patients can return to their regular activities right away. Minor swelling, redness, and bruising may be present at the injection site but will ameliorate shortly.
To ensure the best possible outcome, you should minimize strenuous exercise, exposure to extensive sun or heat, and consumption of alcoholic beverages within the first 24 hours following treatment. While most side effects reported are mild and transient, there have been instances of more serious complications such as vision abnormalities, blindness, stroke, temporary scabs, or areas of the skin appearing white.
