General Anesthesia is administered in order to eliminate any chance of pain or discomfort during the procedure.
Once incisions are made, the tissues are elevated to address sagging and wrinkles. After this is achieved, the excess skin is removed from the site. After excess skin is removed, the incisions are closed using sutures, further tightening the skin.
Mini Facelift Recovery
Once the procedure is complete, the patient can go back home after a few hours. The recovery period is very short and simple. Patients may need to return for follow-up appointments in order to ensure that healing has gone as expected.
On some occasions, there could be instances of bruising due to the incisions and stitching. The procedure may also create temporary swelling in the site. The swelling and bruising often go away after few weeks. In case of persistence of swelling, the patient should consult with Dr. Reichner.
When Do the Results Appear?

However, the final results will only be evident once all swelling and bruising has diminished, usually a few weeks from the date of surgery.
