Which Areas Can Benefit from Fat Grafting?
Fat grafting is a great way to put stubborn unwanted fat to good use. If you’re feeling unhappy about excess flab, it’s time to move that fat to a spot where it can improve your appearance. We can perform facial fat grafting, fat grafting to the breasts, and the Brazilian butt lift to enhance the face, breasts, and buttocks.
What Happens During Fat Grafting?
Fat grafting, also known as fat transfer, is a procedure that involves three steps: liposuction, purification, and injection.
First, gentle liposuction is used to remove excess fatty tissue from one or more areas. Common areas for fat harvesting include the abdomen and the thighs. A tool called a cannula is inserted into a small incision, and it is then used to dislodge fat cells. The cells are removed with suction through the cannula.
Next, the harvested fatty cells are purified. This process involves removing dead and damaged fat cells, along with extraneous materials. This leaves only the healthiest fat cells for transfer, ensuring lasting results.
Finally, the fat cells are placed into a syringe and injected at various levels in the area of the body targeted for treatment. This is a lengthy process, but the time it requires is worth it to ensure long-term survival of the transferred fat cells. When the fat cells connect to the blood supply, they are able to thrive for years and years.
Facial Fat Grafting
Over the years, fat is gradually and naturally lost from the underlying facial fat layer. This results in a thinning of facial contours, along with the formation of a number of facial wrinkles. To restore contours and ease away wrinkles like marionette lines and the nasolabial folds, facial fat grafting can be performed.
With this autologous treatment, fat can be used as a natural injectable filler. Autologous procedures are treatments that involve the use of the body’s own tissue. A facial fat transfer offers much longer-lasting results than synthetic fillers, and because it’s an autologous procedure, it has no chance of causing an allergic reaction.
Fat Grafting to the Breast
Though many patients can benefit from breast augmentation using breast implants, some patients prefer to avoid implants entirely. Fat grafting to the breast, also called natural breast augmentation or a fat transfer breast augmentation, is ideal for these patients.
Fat transfer breast augmentation is an excellent option for people looking to enlarge their breasts in a way that is subtle and long-lasting. Since no implants are involved, there’s no chance of implant rupture or leaking, and implant replacement will never be necessary.
